Surveys
We are working to build-up a picture of what routes look like. To do that we are asking volunteers to survey routes so that we can communicate features, obstacles and challenges that may make a route desirable or not.
Slow Ways surveyors are asked to complete some basic online training, but they are not vetted. If you are dependent on the survey information being correct in order to complete a route, we recommend that you think critically about the information provided. You may also wish to wait until more than one survey has been completed.
Help people know more about this route by volunteering to submit a survey.

20 Aug 2022Lovely, varied route. Great views. Keeping to the route south of Newsome was a bit of a struggle, but this shouldn't cause problems as there are lots of alternative paths. It had been dry for ages before my walk so I came across one very small patch of mud; I suspect there could be more at times. Highly recommended. I'll be walking this way again.

08 Jun 2021Very pleasant walk along quiet roads and paths. Quite steep in some places but this gave some great views.
I couldn’t get any description of the route (the print website wouldn’t work for iPad) but the .gpx file loaded into the OS map.

03 Jun 2021Steep sections, varied surfaces (cobbles, tarmac, grass, mud, gravel), gates & stiles: not suitable for wheel chairs or for people with several health conditions.
The route as given includes some sections that make it longer than it need be and increase ascent & descent.
