Surveys
We are working to build-up a picture of what routes look like. To do that we are asking volunteers to survey routes so that we can communicate features, obstacles and challenges that may make a route desirable or not.
Slow Ways surveyors are asked to complete some basic online training, but they are not vetted. If you are dependent on the survey information being correct in order to complete a route, we recommend that you think critically about the information provided. You may also wish to wait until more than one survey has been completed.
Help people know more about this route by volunteering to submit a survey.

28 Mar 2022This is a delightful rural route which I would definitly walk again and recommend to others. There are two high styles with longer step downs than usual, one between Sevenhampton and Shrivenham and the other between Bourton and Ashbury. The bridge accross River Cole between Sevenhampton and Shrivenham looks a little precarious but it is acctually very solid.

27 Mar 2022A rural route with short roadside walking distances (less than 300 metres) without pavement in small villages of Sevenhampton and Ashbury. Leaving Highworth the first challenge is lack of clear signage to cross the golf course at Wrag Barn. (photos to guide will follow). At Dog kennel copse there's a two feet step down to the field from the wooden bridge due to a step missing. A shorter route across Shrivenham can be taken from St Martens Rd through the allotments to the B4000. Heading towards Bourton the footpath just after the canal bridge is very muddy for 30 metres or so. Ashbury is a great destination for a pub with good food or tea rooms.
