Surveys
We are working to build-up a picture of what routes look like. To do that we are asking volunteers to survey routes so that we can communicate features, obstacles and challenges that may make a route desirable or not.
Slow Ways surveyors are asked to complete some basic online training, but they are not vetted. If you are dependent on the survey information being correct in order to complete a route, we recommend that you think critically about the information provided. You may also wish to wait until more than one survey has been completed.
Help people know more about this route by volunteering to submit a survey.

20 Jun 2024This route is in my opinion not acceptable as part of the Slowways network. The route between Honiton and Godford Cross is about 2 miles along a busy and fast A road (The A373 toward Cullompton and the M5 intersection) Mostly this is unpaved and without useable grass verges on either side. The route between Godford Cross and Limers Lane is excellent and mostly along a byway. However Limers Lane to Wolford Cross is again on a busy road, with no pavement or verges. The route then enters the very pleasant Rhodedendron Walk but the access point into Dunkerswell via Powells way is not shown as a right of way on the map and there is a sign at the Powells Way end stating it is private. Between Dunkerswell and Hemyock the walk is mostly on delighful footpaths and quiet lanes.
