21 May 2021This route passes through flat arable farming land. Half of the route is on the South Holderness Rail Trail, so it makes for straightforward navigation and easy walking. There is some quiet country road walking between Winestead and Rimswell. And between Rimswell and Withernsea the route goes off road again, through a number of fields at Rimswell Valley. (Somewhat misnamed, as this countryside is very flat).
Note: I have also tried out a route that looks good on the OS maps, going via Hollym, entering Withernsea at the golf course. Unfortunately in reality the footpath is planted over with crops and also there’s a very unsafe footbridge.
