13 May 2021This is a nice quiet route through arable land and along country lanes. There’s one road that does get a bit more traffic, between Humbleton and Lelley. Just be aware here that cars can come fast round the bends.
This route is very similar to Hedald one but just avoids the problems that that route has where it goes through private land, and also a couple of instances where the path has been diverted. This route is accurate but signage isn’t always great at field corners so do bring a map and or GPS or follow the route on a mapping app on your smartphone.
There’s a pub en route, at Lelley, the Stagg’s Head Inn.
