Surveys
We are working to build-up a picture of what routes look like. To do that we are asking volunteers to survey routes so that we can communicate features, obstacles and challenges that may make a route desirable or not.
Slow Ways surveyors are asked to complete some basic online training, but they are not vetted. If you are dependent on the survey information being correct in order to complete a route, we recommend that you think critically about the information provided. You may also wish to wait until more than one survey has been completed.
Help people know more about this route by volunteering to submit a survey.

Slow Ways Cristie
27 Jan 2023We've heard at Slow Ways that Hayhel two shares some of the issues with Hayhel one. Hayhel three aims to correct the issues so may be good to start with. Hayhel four is completely different. The issues with Hayhel two as shared with us are:
- the pathway parallel with B3302 (between Sunny Corner and Trenwheal) is non-existent from the northern side (Sunny Corner)
- it's tricky to navigate through Binner Down's Mine due to the large number of paths.
- the fields east of Deveral contain cattle and can be very muddy
- one of the field crossings west of Deveral is quite scrubbed up
- Calais road is dangerous to walk on with fast traffic and should be avoided if possible.
