26 Jun 2024Walked Edgware to Harrow.
Satisfactory urban route connection these north west London suburbs.
Mostly it is well drawn, but as the previous reviewers also note there is a small error between Sheepcote Road and Northwick Park Road at Harrow. The walkaround on Gaycote Road is pretty obvious but it did annoy me!! Had I been first reviewer I’d have redrawn, but as third reviewer, and with the correct route obvious on the ground, I am ok with green lighting it.
Steps on railway bridges.

03 Apr 2022It's an okay route, which I walked from Edgware to Harrow. It's all in suburbia and nearly all walking was besides roads, with some nice exceptions such as Chandos and Kenton Recreation Grounds. It does get you easily from A to B though. At parts you can see "Harrow on the Hill" in the distance. I had some issues crossing the West Coast Main Line, as there was an NHS testing site blocking access to the steps. Which can be avoided by jumping over a hash (what we do to review these routes!). It is also possible to avoid these steep steps across the railway when taking the northwestern exit from the park. This also avoids the map error that haves you go through a building (easily walked around). The last stretch into Harrow was along some new builds, of the type that is springing up all over London.

27 Jun 2021This is NW London suburban walk between two town centers, with shopping malls; Harrow and Edgware.
The 6.5km route takes quiet back roads with traffic calming features, dropped curbs and road crossings. Mostly pavement and tarmac.
There are two rail crossings that involve narrow pedestrian bridges and many steps (48 of them ).
On the up side there two beautiful open green areas; Kenton Recreation Ground, and Chandos Park, both with benches and play facilities.
There is a slight map error in Northwick Park Road, it shows the route through a building. It is easy to walk round past the school.
The tube line crossing, the parks , and a short pedestrian/cycle path have no lighting at night, but there are easy walk-arounds.
If you're in a hurry take the 186, but then you'd miss a semi-detached slice of slow ways suburban life.
