Surveys
We are working to build-up a picture of what routes look like. To do that we are asking volunteers to survey routes so that we can communicate features, obstacles and challenges that may make a route desirable or not.
Slow Ways surveyors are asked to complete some basic online training, but they are not vetted. If you are dependent on the survey information being correct in order to complete a route, we recommend that you think critically about the information provided. You may also wish to wait until more than one survey has been completed.
Help people know more about this route by volunteering to submit a survey.

23 Aug 2022Really nice route along the river with the majority of the walk being away from roads. The start and the end have small sections on busy roads but once you hit the river it is a lovely walk. Some nice cafe's restaurants and pubs along the riverfront as well which makes it ideal for a short walk or stopping as part of a longer one.

08 Aug 2022This is a very nice easy going route along the river. Nice alternative to the South Bank option.

23 Oct 2021This route follows the same path along the North/East side of the Thames as Chiput Two, between Hammersmith Bridge and Putney. It is a good direct route, largely off-road, although I do prefer the leafier alternative Hamput One, which crosses the river on Hammersmith Bridge.
The route has been designed to avoid steps and is reasonably accurate. However there are a few points where the route line is a bit 'off', including at Hammersmith Broadway where it's a bit abbreviated around the road crossing, and the swerve around Fulham football ground.
Some people may prefer this one to Hamput One, sort of depends if you are a 'north of the river' or 'south of the river' person!.
