Surveys
We are working to build-up a picture of what routes look like. To do that we are asking volunteers to survey routes so that we can communicate features, obstacles and challenges that may make a route desirable or not.
Slow Ways surveyors are asked to complete some basic online training, but they are not vetted. If you are dependent on the survey information being correct in order to complete a route, we recommend that you think critically about the information provided. You may also wish to wait until more than one survey has been completed.
Help people know more about this route by volunteering to submit a survey.

01 May 2021There is a temporary closure of the path through Ainslie Street Recreation Ground early on in this walk (due to flooding on the path). The council is working on draining the water and redoing the path. Not sure when this will be completed.
There is any easy diversion by going south on Ainslie Street and then turning east on Wintringham Road. This leads to the original route at the underpass of A16. There the original route can be followed.
Around 1 km of the route is on tracks beside farmland. Some of this is rutted and stony so may be difficult for wheels.
There is approximately 300m, to walk at the side of a fast and busy road, but there is a 1-2m grass verge (also need to cross this road).
Other than above a reasonable route from Grimsby to New Waltham (especially when temporary closure is removed.
