12 Feb 2023This route is the same as GreBar4 between Torrington and Tawstock, but then goes into Barnstaple using the lane through Lake. This means that almost the whole route is over tarmac or pavement which is great for wet weather.
I've already reviewed GreBar4, so this review is the same, until Tawstock. Coming into Barnstaple from Lake you do see wider views, but the lane from Tawstock to Barnstaple is busier than the others on the walk, but still safe in my opinion. This route also goes right past the railway station, which will be very useful for some.
However, I would chose GreBar4 over this route in fine weather, and use this one on wet days.
