Surveys
We are working to build-up a picture of what routes look like. To do that we are asking volunteers to survey routes so that we can communicate features, obstacles and challenges that may make a route desirable or not.
Slow Ways surveyors are asked to complete some basic online training, but they are not vetted. If you are dependent on the survey information being correct in order to complete a route, we recommend that you think critically about the information provided. You may also wish to wait until more than one survey has been completed.

03 Mar 2022We did the route in January and were faced with a tough very muddy section after the fist mile. It was a nice route out the town, then we hit the mud for mile 2 and 3 until we got to the road that took us into North Wootten (we actually avoided some of the route to stay on tarmac). The second half was interesting and scenic, across fields, following a track that was part stream, and then into Shepton Mallett.

03 Mar 2022A good route but best to avoid in the winter because of a very muddy section after Glastonbury across fields with cattle. Some lovely views at the beginning from Bove Town & then at the end before dropping down into Shepton. There was a nice section through fields & a valley after N Wootton.
