Surveys
We are working to build-up a picture of what routes look like. To do that we are asking volunteers to survey routes so that we can communicate features, obstacles and challenges that may make a route desirable or not.
Slow Ways surveyors are asked to complete some basic online training, but they are not vetted. If you are dependent on the survey information being correct in order to complete a route, we recommend that you think critically about the information provided. You may also wish to wait until more than one survey has been completed.
Help people know more about this route by volunteering to submit a survey.

24 Jun 2022There are a few problems with this route; it's an odd choice to deviate through Morton, and the section from Morton to Owlet Plantation is along a road that has no footpath, though the road itself isn't terribly busy, it is used frequently enough that you'll be passed by numerous vehicles.
The main issue is the section that follows the B1205 between Welwyn and Newly House. There is no path along this road, and is a heavily used road by all types of traffic. I personally wouldn't choose to walk along this section, and unfortunately there are no alternatives to join these two points.
