Surveys
We are working to build-up a picture of what routes look like. To do that we are asking volunteers to survey routes so that we can communicate features, obstacles and challenges that may make a route desirable or not.
Slow Ways surveyors are asked to complete some basic online training, but they are not vetted. If you are dependent on the survey information being correct in order to complete a route, we recommend that you think critically about the information provided. You may also wish to wait until more than one survey has been completed.
Help people know more about this route by volunteering to submit a survey.

19 Feb 2023It starts well, and has some great rural footpaths, but there's many errors with this route in terms if access and safety.
First, there are a few instances of walking along unpaved rural roads, almost all with blind turns due to high hedges. Second, a section through a farm doesn't appear to be accessible, possibly private with a number of CCTV warnings. Third, many of the footpaths betweem Cheshire Farm and Top-y-Fron seem to have vanished; signs and stiles have been removed. Lastly, a small footbridge has been damaged, possibly vandalised, which accesses the residential streets of Shotton (the route from here is zigzags and not simple).
Despite having some great sections, along lovely footpaths with great views in places, this route is not totally doable, unless the access problems change.
