18 Feb 2024It has the makings of a good route, but there are a number of errors:
1) The walk from the station takes the route along an unpaved sliproad
2) the perfect straight line between Marsh Lane and the sewage works does not exist, despite it also being on OS maps. Marsh Lane is a cul-de-sac, and the adjacent footpath is on a boggy field. There is no path that runs along the north side of the sewage works; it's a ditch and a hedge.
3) The route through Northop agricultural college, also marked on the route and OS maps, is closed to the public, but has been rerouted around the site
4) There is no physical way to get from the main road to Ffordd Glyndwr, so this route through Northop is impossible
5) In Alltami, you can access the moor on Buckley Mountain much earlier using the footpaths across the field than continuing on the roads.
