06 Mar 2022Mostly a nice route, especially the Ally Pally Park, but definitely not walkable through St Pancras and Islington Cemetery. Just like another reviewer, rerouting through Creighton Avenue is desirable, and I've uploaded Finwoo 2 for that.

30 Dec 2021I walked from Wood Green to Finchley. After some busy roads leading form Wood Green Station to Alexandra Palace Station you cross a bridge over the railway to Alexandra Park. The park is lovely and the path is wide and well made, steep (19%) in places, good views over London and of the Palace. A long section through residential suburban streets to Coldfall Wood where a detour is needed (see previous reviews).
I have suggested an alternative route down through the woods across a couple of bridges (muddy) then along Creighton Ave and up through a quiet estate to re-join the original route (see picture).
More suburban streets and a nice park until the busy Ballards Lane on the approach to Finchley Central Tube station.

05 Jun 2021Just to second Tom's comment: the route currently passes through Islington & St.Pancras Cemetery which will be closed for quite a lot of the time.
In addition, there is no exit from the cemetery into Coldfall Wood.
Coldfall is pretty, but if the route needs to go through Craighton Avenue, it might be more efficient to leave the wood to the side and instead turn south towards Twyford Avenue, Queen's Avenue and Duke's Avenue.

06 May 2021Travelling from Finchley Central to Wood Green. There is no public access to Exit Road so the route can't be progressed, as is, at this point. Exit Road is gated, and I confirmed the access restrictions with a resident. I believe the problem is that the route crosses the Islington & St Pancras Cemetery therefore there are restrictions to access. I would recommend rerouting down High Road and Creighton Avenue and joining Coldfall Wood from the Creighton Avenue entrance. Islington & St Pancras Cemetery grounds should be avoided completely.
