Surveys
We are working to build-up a picture of what routes look like. To do that we are asking volunteers to survey routes so that we can communicate features, obstacles and challenges that may make a route desirable or not.
Slow Ways surveyors are asked to complete some basic online training, but they are not vetted. If you are dependent on the survey information being correct in order to complete a route, we recommend that you think critically about the information provided. You may also wish to wait until more than one survey has been completed.
Help people know more about this route by volunteering to submit a survey.

A pleasant and easy walk mostly along a cycle track going most of the way between the two places. It follows the Rhondda Fach river, which has been artificially straightened and the banks strengthened in places, but in some stretches it looks natural and there are some nice pools deep enough for a dunk on a hot day.
This path should be negotiable by wheelchair, although just a note of caution at the bridge crossing the river at around the half way point. The barriers look to be wide enough for wheelchairs to pass through, but you have to do a 180 degree turn to get around them and there is a slight step to get on to the bridge. The path is a little rough on the east side of the river, but it only lasts for a couple of hundred yards before it turns into a smoother track and then becomes a tarmac path. It`s flat all the way along the river paths, but the road leading up to the Welfare Hall in Tylorstown is very steep.
