Berkshire Walker
11 Apr 2025A pleasant slow way connecting Farnham and Aldershot. The highlights are the two off road sections through Farnham Park (including the castle) and Rowhill Copse (the source of the River Blackwater), the rest is mainly roadside pavements along suburban roads. One very narrow footpath at Upper Hale is probably impassable for wheels, but apart from that no steps or obstacles apart from a wide kissing gate at Rowhill Copse. Farnham town centre is historic and bustling, on route there are a few local pubs, and Aldershot town centre is not far from the railway station.
There are a couple of inaccuracies in the route plotting especially at Rowhill Copse and the section near Aldershot bus station (the shortcut to the station does not exist!).
