A great walk that and is a perfect way to experience the Jurassic coastline. I did find the static caravan park in the middle of the walk slightly jarring however, especially after such breathtaking and wild views.

A lovely walk along the coast path. Stunning views, well marked path. Expect hills.

This is a great way to get between Exmouth and Budleigh Salterton. If you need to get between the two and you've got the time, go this way!

If you are looking for a circular walk from either, combining this route with Exmbud Two makes for a really varied and enjoyable 17km walk. That's what I did when out reviewing both routes yesterday.

I started in Exmouth where the route frustratingly starts with some fairly cool dinosaurs that you are not allowed to climb on. I'm not sure I see the point of down-town dinosaurs that you are not allowed to ride..

This route follows the coast path. It's an interesting and sometimes curious section part of the coast, including sandy beaches, 250 million year old rocks at Orcombe Point, an enormous static caravan park (with some caravan locations looking like they'll be in the sea sometime soonish), a military firing range (you can't walk through it), patches of lush woodland, stunning coastal views and the quaint delights of Budleigh Salterton.

There are some steps and when I walked the route, in a wettish February, slippery sections too. The route is drawn accurately enough, but follow the actual path not the route line, especially along the cliffs. There's one place beside the caravan park where the mapped right of way goes off the side of the cliff... so best to avoid following the mapped path over the fence.

Both Exmouth and Budleigh Salterton have lots of places to get something to eat and drink, including supermarkets.

I really enjoyed this route and will be walking or running it again.

A great coastal walk with one steep section.

Pretty route, part of the coast path so well sign-posted, but can be steep and with rough surfaces.
