23 Apr 2023 Spring

I walked this on a light-cloudy Saturday morning, from Sutton to Ewell. It had rained a little in the previous week.

It's an easy to walk route, starting (photo #1) with some residential streets in Sutton, before following some back alley public footpaths (photo #2). The stint through Cheam park (photo #3) and along Nonsuch Parks' The Avenue (photo #4) were easy going, whereas the section from the Avenue to the Ewell By-Pass were very muddy (photo #5, #6). After crossing the A24 - with speedy traffic (photo #7) - there was another alley way (photo #8) to end up at the finish.

Good and short route, but bring mud-proof footwear.

Route going through Nonsuch Park can be very muddy. Access may be an issue for some.

Surprisingly lovely alternative route down footpaths from Cheam Village to Sutton that's much better than the main road.

To walk from Sutton to Epsom follow this route to Nonsuch Park then switch to Epsewe two to continue to Epsom.

Pleasant walk through Nonsuch and Cheam Parks. Some steps and earth paths through woods early on. Two major roads to cross. Easy route to follow. Link to Epsom in Nonsuch Park - when coming from Sutton turn left at London LOOP signpost towards Ewell East Station.
