Surveys
We are working to build-up a picture of what routes look like. To do that we are asking volunteers to survey routes so that we can communicate features, obstacles and challenges that may make a route desirable or not.
Slow Ways surveyors are asked to complete some basic online training, but they are not vetted. If you are dependent on the survey information being correct in order to complete a route, we recommend that you think critically about the information provided. You may also wish to wait until more than one survey has been completed.
Help people know more about this route by volunteering to submit a survey.

27 Dec 2022I've added Ewemot 2 to correct the route through Nonsuch Park and the roads after Cuddington Recreation Ground. All other parts of the route the same as Ewemot 1. Toilets and café available in Nonsuch Mansion.

14 Mar 2022Overall, lovely walk that takes you through some beautiful green and nature spaces. The path through Motspur Park is really beautiful and relaxing. It gets interesting when you reach The Hamptons of Worcester Park, which, though not to my taste, is a sight to see in London. The route provided through Nonsuch Park along the A24 isn't always the best. Part of it is very muddy, narrow, and, if the weather conditions are wet, parts of it can be impassable. You can avoid this section by going onto the A24 footpath, but it's not very pleasant due to busy traffic, and if you find yourself on south side of the road, you'll have to cross the road at some point, which can be a little bit precarious due to the speed of the cars. I'd be curious to know if you went a bit more into the middle of the park, whether the path would be better and you can avoid the A24 entirely. But overall, really nice walk!.

15 Nov 2022I've added Ewemot2 for a better route through Nonsuch Park (where there are toilets and a cafe) and corrected the Dalmeny Road, Braemar Road section.

28 Feb 2022A very nice route but it does go through one of the muddiest parts of Nonsuch Park. Route may inaccessible or difficult to navigate during the Winter but plenty of alternative paths can be found.

27 Jun 2021Did the first half, Ewell to Worcester park. Lovely start with the church tower at Ewell. Couldn't risk the crossing at Ewell bypass dual carriageway - no underpass or bridge.... walked up to the junction and used the pedestrian crossing there instead. Beautiful through the big Nonsuch park - bluebells at that time of year. Cuddington recreation ground a lovely linear park to walk through - had no idea it was there! Thanks.

04 May 2021Very good park/woodland walk, starting at the historic Ewell village & continuing across Nonsuch Park. Towards the end of the route is Mayflower Park & wetlands area.
Between Ewell village & Nonsuch, the route uses the 'London Loop', and once into Nonsuch Park there are many ways across. You just need to aim for the far north-west corner.
After Cuddington Park, the route suggests there are paths between Sandringham Road, Braemar Road & Hobart Road - these are private back-alleys, not open the the public. I suggest going up Dalmeny Road & turning left into Hobart Road.
