Description
Options two and three both go north of Euston Road, but this route takes you south of it, for a lovely set of quiet streets that requires much less diversion

28 Mar 2023Unlike the other options this route needs you to cross the busy Euston Road twice, but it is the shortest route, other than the busy main road route, Euskin One. However both crossings have pedestrian lights, and the route is easy to follow. I walked it with a heavy wheeled case, and it was good to completely avoid kerbs and steps. The small brick and paving setts and textured slopes were not always easy though. There was some building work happening on Bidborough Street at the time, but this didn’t cause any problems.
There were some interesting looking historic buildings on the way – Mabel’s Tavern, St Pancras New Church, Euston Fire Station, and all along Flaxman Terrace and Woburn Walk. I liked this route, it was surprisingly quiet and interesting.
I'm never walking the A501 again!.

24 Jul 2022A really good use of the quieter streets to the south of Euston Road, packed with interested too. Even has a haunted pub half way! Accessible, deceptively direct, and safe. An excellent option.

02 May 2022I walked this route from Euston to Kings Cross. It’s my proposal for a fourth route option, which goes south of Euston Road instead of north, as two and three go.
I liked how it stuck relatively more direct, without big diversions away from the straight-line path. I like how close you are to Euston Road but how quiet and separate from the nasty traffic it feels. There’s quite a few quiet streets and paths that are fun to discover along the way. Even an old pub with some interesting history. Overall an extremely solid Slow Ways route!.
