Surveys
We are working to build-up a picture of what routes look like. To do that we are asking volunteers to survey routes so that we can communicate features, obstacles and challenges that may make a route desirable or not.
Slow Ways surveyors are asked to complete some basic online training, but they are not vetted. If you are dependent on the survey information being correct in order to complete a route, we recommend that you think critically about the information provided. You may also wish to wait until more than one survey has been completed.
Help people know more about this route by volunteering to submit a survey.

14 Mar 2022I did this walk on a day that had quite heavy rain, so the route was really good because it was simple to navigate, which meant I didn't have to keep an eye on the map all the time to keep my phone/map dry. There weren't any cyclists when I was walking on the path, but since there is no real separation between pedestrians and cyclists, both would need to be quite careful sharing the path. That said, the path is pretty safe and well maintained. If I were to walk it again I might find some alternatives to vary up the long stretches of road.

26 Jan 2022Taking the foot/cycle path from Waterloo Road (Temple Cl) is a nicer route than Temple Road. Both run parallel with each other so it won’t effect journey time.

17 Nov 2021There are two places where an alternative path can be taken, rather than walking along a road.
1. There is a path off Waterloo Road that goes alongside Court Recreation Ground ( parallel to Temple Road) and finishes at Pound Lane. Walk along Pound Lane and cross Temple Road to rejoin the route.
2. There is a path opposite Ewell West station. Cross at the traffic lights on the bridge and follow the path down some steps and across Gibraltar Recreation Ground. When you reach the road at West Street, turn left and continue to the final destination at the end of the road.

28 Apr 2021The pathway by Longmead Road is designated as a cycle route in both directions, so cyclists can be a hazard.
Toilets at Bourne Hall, near start, and at Epsom Library, Epsom Square, near end.
