Description
This has a slightly improved route near Loughton, where it follows more of the LOOP. It tries to not follow the A110 at all, which made Enflou one so dreadful

10 Jul 2023A lovely walk. Much of it along quite paths in parkland . There is roadside walking, all paved, particularly between Enfield and Ponders End. on the East side of the Lea Valley however the walking is most enjoyable, most of it traffic free. it was easy to follow using the track given on the site ' which can be relied upon.

18 Jun 2022I walked from Loughton to Enfield.
A walk of two halves. First half 4*, second 2*, so an average of 3* given.
From Loughton Station leafy passages (steps under the Rail line) take you to meet the London Loop which is followed for a while. A green, cricket ground then a mix of woods and fields up to Queen Elizabeth's Hunting Lodge (refreshments and water fountain). There is a long uphill path past a golf course towards Pole Hill. On the hill there are many paths to chose from, head upwards! At the top are a trig point and an obelisk and lovely views are to be had on the wooded decent towards the reservoirs.
All change.
The road between the reservoirs is noisy, but there are sheep! From now on it is suburban street walking. Steps over the rail line at ponders end. A small industrial estate then shops, pubs, and residential roads leading to Enfield Town Station.
