08 Nov 2023Pleasant walk, especially along the Thames. I agree with the other reviews. Steps at Staines Bridge if you follow the Thames Path signs. Crossing A308 was easy; there are traffic lights if needed. Be aware that the Thames path could be flooded at times. The river was quite high with a strong flow when I walked it. Toilets in Elmsleigh shopping centre (next to Staines bus station) and inside Tesco (Egham High Street).

11 Oct 2022Short route between Egham railway station and Staines bus station. It manages to fit in a pleasant section along the river Thames, as well as negotiating an M25 intersection; there are some busy roads here but all crossing points are safe.
The route is accurately drawn; the amount of A and B road between Egham and the river could be reduced (e.g. by crossing the National Trust field which is part of the Runnymede NT area) - but I don’t think it’s worth making a completely new route option for this.
Path surfaces vary from pavement to narrow, steep and somewhat muddy footpath through woodland; and there are stairs at Staines bridge.

27 Jun 2021Good walking route although would be a little tricky for non able bodied persons as there is a little bit of rough track. This may be avoided if one headed into hotel grounds at The Runnymeade and picked up the Thames Path from there.
Made a pleasant walk.
