Not a lot to add with the previous two reviews, which I agree with. Except to say that the works at Ealing Broadway are mostly complete, and the Elizabeth Line is running from there now.

I walked from Ealing to Wembley.
There are still works outside Ealing station, but turn left across a complex junction and you are soon into leafy suburbia. There is a water tower and opposite is a barrier/gate (radar key compatible) along a lovely paved path between a wood and a park. More residential streets before a subway under the A40 then under the rail line a route shared with a cycle path.
Then a noisy, busy trafficky Hangar Lane over a bridge toward Alperton Tube. Ealing Road on the approach to Wembley is a lively high street full of South Asian shops, mosques, temples and restaurants full of interest.
A varied walk suitable for wheels with plenty of snacking opportunities.

27 Oct 2021 Autumn

It's a good direct route between Ealing and Wembley, not a part of London I know well so there were some surprises.
Leaving Ealing Broadway going north is a very pleasant residential neighbourhood, and the woodland track at Hangar Hill Park was peaceful and autumnal.
At Hangar Lane things change, the Western Avenue underpass feels a bit unloved, and the canalised river Brent is a project that needs tackling, poor thing. I can't see how this part of the route can be changed, and it feels like a necessary part of understanding how London works to see the contrasting areas.
At Alperton station the road turns towards Wembley and passes through a neighbourhood with a rich Indian influence - a magnificent temple, shops selling saris and other beautiful fabrics and clothes, grocers and greengrocers, sweet shops, restaurants.
A route in three parts, like an altarpiece, or a chord.

(I set out to walk Ealwem One, but found it had a routing problem and so I made this route which is more or less the same with the problem corrected.).
