Surveys
We are working to build-up a picture of what routes look like. To do that we are asking volunteers to survey routes so that we can communicate features, obstacles and challenges that may make a route desirable or not.
Slow Ways surveyors are asked to complete some basic online training, but they are not vetted. If you are dependent on the survey information being correct in order to complete a route, we recommend that you think critically about the information provided. You may also wish to wait until more than one survey has been completed.
Help people know more about this route by volunteering to submit a survey.

25 Oct 2023Crieff to Muthill Road is not safe for walking or for less confident cyclists and should be avoided. There is an alternative route between Muthill and Crieff. From Muthill sewage works, use the tarmac shared use path to Templemill. From here either use the Core Path (part of the River Earn Path to Crieff) or use the minor road to Bennybeg then rejoin the main road. This alternative route misses out the worst section of the busy road.

04 Feb 2022The first part of the route from Crieff to Muthill is along a busy road, with only a narrow, uneven verge and cannot be recommended. This is best avoided using the Crieff -Muthill section of the Crieff-Auchtertarder route.
The Greenbrae to Braco section is similar, but less easily avoided.
