26 Aug 2024A reasonable route with some nice views in the middle where the route crosses from Devon into Somerset. Also has a lovely stretch along the Grand Western canal. However it is somewhat let down by the initial walk from Cullompton along the B3181 (busy road but with pavement) and then on a shared use track right next to the M5. And again the section of road out of Burlescombe also is fairly busy. There are also a couple of level crossings, and several stiles so not ideal from an access perspective. I.

23 Oct 2021A nice route, mostly on footpaths and with a section along the Grand Western Canal towpath. There is a long section along the busy A373 between Cullompton and Willand albeit there is a pavement at least on one side throughout.

28 Aug 2021A pleasant walk. The walk crosses and re-crosses the busy A38 and the Great Western trainline, one through an underpass and twice on un-manned crossings. A long walk along a B class road with no pavement but with grass verges between Red Ball and Burlescombe. However mostly on good footpaths in open countryside. Includes canal towpath.
