Surveys
We are working to build-up a picture of what routes look like. To do that we are asking volunteers to survey routes so that we can communicate features, obstacles and challenges that may make a route desirable or not.
Slow Ways surveyors are asked to complete some basic online training, but they are not vetted. If you are dependent on the survey information being correct in order to complete a route, we recommend that you think critically about the information provided. You may also wish to wait until more than one survey has been completed.
Help people know more about this route by volunteering to submit a survey.

08 May 2022A very nice walk, albeit much of it on roads. Much of these are quiet, but at the Cullompton end it is mostly on road all the way to Ashill around 5 miles. Not a real problem, the roads are quiet from Bradfield to Ashill. The busiest sections are through the industrial estate with heavy vehicles - although this section is mostly paved. And the section from the M5 intersection and Cullompton town centre, busy but paved. There is a possibility of cutting the road section short at Hackpen Hill, by taking footpaths through the woodland. This changes the nature of the route however introducing stiles into the walk. Maybe should be an alternative.
