Not much more I can add to the previous reviewers.

Starting at Crickhowell it’s a lovely walk through the wood to the canal. The canal walk was stunning in the autumn even with the rubbish weather!

After a few stops under bridges and a coffee in Gilwern I descended into Llanfoist on an old railway before crossing fields into Abergavenny.

Flat, scenic and off road. Good for wheels or lazy so and so’s like me!.

A lovely easy walk from Crickhowell, across fields, along a canal path and then a disused railway path / cycle track most of the way into Abergavenny.

A pleasant walk through the back streets of Crickhowell then crossing the old bridge over the River Usk (Photo 1), one of the longest stone bridges in the country, and also notable for having 13 arches on one side and only 12 on the other (Photo 2).

After leaving the road at Legar, the path leads through the fields and up through a small woodland before coming out on the towpath of the Mon & Brec canal. This is one of the nicest canal walks I`ve ever done and the path follows it for a good few miles before cutting down through the woods and on to the tarmac railway line path into Llanfoist. On reaching the car park and lane at the end of the railway path, the route turns left and goes down and under the A465 main road and on past the cemetery on to the main road into Abergavenny town.

Lovely views across the Usk Valley from the canal path,

Nice route, largely on old railway line. Very accessible, although a bit bumpy in places because of tree routes pushing up through the path. Nice stretch along the canal too.

Abergavenny is a great market town and start/finish for this route. If starting from Abergavenny you go past the castle and meadows and then along a track uphill to the Brecon Monmothshire canal for most of the way to Crickhowell. This beautiful quiet section of the canal also has great views and for the most part accessible for buggies, wheelchairs and bikes - there can be the odd muddy puddle. Nice easy walk for peace and getting into nature.
