Surveys
We are working to build-up a picture of what routes look like. To do that we are asking volunteers to survey routes so that we can communicate features, obstacles and challenges that may make a route desirable or not.
Slow Ways surveyors are asked to complete some basic online training, but they are not vetted. If you are dependent on the survey information being correct in order to complete a route, we recommend that you think critically about the information provided. You may also wish to wait until more than one survey has been completed.
Help people know more about this route by volunteering to submit a survey.

10 Jun 2022 (edited 30 Jan 2023)This was the second of three Slow Ways routes I walked yesterday, and I walked it from Clifton to Keyworth. No major issues, though it does involve a lot of walking on pavements, and the A60 crossing at Bradmore is a cause for concern, but that road needs to be crossed somewhere and none of the alternative are much better. The path into Keyworth from the Wysall Road is not wheelchair friendly as it is mostly unsurfaced and has a narrow section enclosed by fences. There are also unsurfaced sections between Ruddington Country Park and Bradmore. A pleasant enough walk for the most part, and the main problem areas are not easy to circumvent.
[update 30/1/23: my initial review had a maybe flag, which I have removed because I can't find a safer route, though I may yet submit an alternative one.].

30 May 2022I walked this route from Clifton. The first section is alongside the main road to Ruddington. Southeast of Ruddington village, the route crosses the Country Park before joining a footpath into Bradmore. Along the main street and then a footpath through the houses brings you to the A60. After crossing the road (carefully !) we join Pendock Lane. There is no pavement, but there was not much traffic. After crossing the Bunny-Keyworth road the route follows the Wysall Lane before turning onto the right of way leading to Keyworth. Through Keyworth on quiet residential roads to the 'hub' which lies in the suburbs, but has local shopping/pub etc.
