Surveys
We are working to build-up a picture of what routes look like. To do that we are asking volunteers to survey routes so that we can communicate features, obstacles and challenges that may make a route desirable or not.
Slow Ways surveyors are asked to complete some basic online training, but they are not vetted. If you are dependent on the survey information being correct in order to complete a route, we recommend that you think critically about the information provided. You may also wish to wait until more than one survey has been completed.
Help people know more about this route by volunteering to submit a survey.

30 May 2022This route is a mix of farmer’s fields and the Taff trail, along the way you experience beautiful hilly landscapes aswell as exploring Wales capital city via the picturesque parks. Starts in the centre of Church Village and takes a short journey down the road and through some houses. The route is slightly off due to the new houses so you have to cross through a children's play park. It then joins the cycle trail and you are supposed to cross the A road straight away but there is no bridge here so you just follow the trail down to the round about, staying left and cross over the white bridge where you rejoin the trial. From their the route takes you via footpaths, through farmers fields and behind the Garth mountain. Some of the stiles are a bit dilapidated so need to be careful when climbing over them. After heading through the village, you follow the zig-zags down to the river and then join the Taff trail about 5 miles in and follow the blue signs all the way down the river into the centre of the city where the route finishes at Cardiff Central station.
