20 Jun 2023 (edited 21 Jun 2023)I walked from Chelsea to Knightsbridge.
There is a lot of roadworks along both roads, Kings Road and Sloane Street. Added a lot of length to the route walking back and forth across the road and down side streets around barriers (June 2023).
You can look at this walk 3 ways:-
Its a direct efficient walk between these two points along busy roads.
Its a shopping experience passing shops and goods I would not enter and can't afford (don't open the shop door, wait until the doorman opens it for you, you are too posh to push).
Its quite an amazing architectural and geological journey. The pavement under foot made of Yorkshire flagstone, dug out to get at the coal and used a paving, you can see the black coal streaks waving through the stone reminding you of the foundation of where all this wealth came from, the earth. And the building stone from around the world...
A good walk.

19 Feb 2022I walked from Knightsbridge to Chelsea. Overall, this was a good route.
I spent the whole first half, along somewhat of an uninspiring and busier road, thinking to myself “this route could be way more direct if it snaked its way through the residential neighbourhood to the west!”
But then, the second half along the Chelsea High Street was fun walking through the vibrant district, which I suppose explains the routing decision made here!
Navigation was simple, another plus.
The end node was a bit awkward, especially because I was continuing back west to Victoria. I did the whole route along the Chelsea High Street but it ended somewhat anticlimactically at the Chelsea node!.

20 Jun 2023Loved this review! Laugh-out-loud commentary on the shopping opportunities and beautifully contextualised insight into the origin of the flagstones. Great
