Surveys
We are working to build-up a picture of what routes look like. To do that we are asking volunteers to survey routes so that we can communicate features, obstacles and challenges that may make a route desirable or not.
Slow Ways surveyors are asked to complete some basic online training, but they are not vetted. If you are dependent on the survey information being correct in order to complete a route, we recommend that you think critically about the information provided. You may also wish to wait until more than one survey has been completed.
Help people know more about this route by volunteering to submit a survey.

20 Nov 2021This is a good route along clear, well-used paths. However, there are 2 minor footpath diversions and one minor access issue - see Caepon2 for the improved route.
1) The Hollies, just N of the M4 - instead of going across the property, go around the land, past the entrance gate.
2) At The Malthouse Farm, between M4 & St Mellons Rd, the path stays in the field rather than crossing the property (clearly marked).
3) Instead of crossing the playing field, stay on the road at Heol Pontprennau/Heol Glandulais. The field was only accessible at one end today, plus any sporting activities would restrict access.

30 May 2022At The Hollies and Malthouse Farm the footpaths available are permissive diversions provided by the landowner who should apply for a formal diversion.
