Surveys
We are working to build-up a picture of what routes look like. To do that we are asking volunteers to survey routes so that we can communicate features, obstacles and challenges that may make a route desirable or not.
Slow Ways surveyors are asked to complete some basic online training, but they are not vetted. If you are dependent on the survey information being correct in order to complete a route, we recommend that you think critically about the information provided. You may also wish to wait until more than one survey has been completed.
Help people know more about this route by volunteering to submit a survey.

07 Dec 2022 (edited 08 Dec 2022)I walked most of this from Bromsgrove to Redditch, but I decided not to risk the dangerous road crossings highlighted in the earlier review. Instead I found an easier alternative that avoids them, and I have uploaded that as BRORED 2. Some of the GPX plotting is loose, so I have tried to fix that too. I will add a detailed review with pictures to the new route.

08 May 2022Walked the route early May (very nice weather) - https://www.strava.com/activities/7101394826
A very solid walking route to Redditch from Bromsgrove, took about 2hrs 45mins. The dual carriageway crossing is not pleasant, there is no bridge or controlled crossing & it's not clear how you get across to the public footpath. There's one small stile that is tricky to catch before the dual carriageway and is missing a marker going to Redditch, photo below to help.

11 Dec 2022I have submitted and reviewed a new route BRORED 2 which removes the need for any dangerous road crossings by using the pavement of Hewell Lane and follows this route elsewhere - thanks for mentioning the problem. If you can review the new route (probably no need to walk it!), it will be within one review of a snail.
