28 Jun 2022The first reviewer is correct in that the beginning of the walk (Mc Clean way) cannot be accessed directly from the Brownhills miners roundabout,. The entrance is 20 M down on the Lichfield road exit (if you expand the gpx map it is there).
Overall a picturesque walk and easy to follow slow ways route. Plenty of wildlife to see with the majority of the walk along the canal towpath. Will certainly do this walk again. The photos shown are in the direction Aldridge to Brownhills.

22 Aug 2021The McClean Way can not be accessed from the roundabout at Brownhills as marked. Also plotting of this route is poor.

30 Jun 2022Please note that a short section of the towpath is closed from 3 May 22 to 21 October 22 due to the rebuilding of the Black Cock Bridge. There is, however, an easy cut around via Hall lane which parallels the canal.
