Surveys
We are working to build-up a picture of what routes look like. To do that we are asking volunteers to survey routes so that we can communicate features, obstacles and challenges that may make a route desirable or not.
Slow Ways surveyors are asked to complete some basic online training, but they are not vetted. If you are dependent on the survey information being correct in order to complete a route, we recommend that you think critically about the information provided. You may also wish to wait until more than one survey has been completed.
Help people know more about this route by volunteering to submit a survey.

04 Jul 2021Not a great walk but does get you from A to B. A few points of note: when leaving Brinklow near the start you walk along a stream - make sure you are on the right hand side of the fence otherwise you will not get through. The way markers don’t make this clear. Along the canal you exit over a bridge but there is no way to get onto the bridge unless you leave the canal before through a small unmarked gap in the hedge. The mapped route does not show this. Approaching the M6 crossing there are very few markers and the overgrown or planted fields give no clear route through. Some narrow paths at this point are very overgrown - shorts not recommended! Much of the remaining walk through fields not well waymarked or obvious clear way through. Last couple of miles into Lutterworth is along 60mph road with limited verge to use. But as I say, does get you from A to B. We relied heavily on OS app and gpx file for route.
