Surveys
We are working to build-up a picture of what routes look like. To do that we are asking volunteers to survey routes so that we can communicate features, obstacles and challenges that may make a route desirable or not.
Slow Ways surveyors are asked to complete some basic online training, but they are not vetted. If you are dependent on the survey information being correct in order to complete a route, we recommend that you think critically about the information provided. You may also wish to wait until more than one survey has been completed.
Help people know more about this route by volunteering to submit a survey.

18 Jan 2025 (edited 19 Jan 2025)Walked from Brighouse to Bradford. The south end is good, but the rest is rather relentless, and the route no longer works because the whole area north of Rooley Avenue is fenced off. In any case I had safety concerns about the road crosding here, and there is a pelican crossing further east. I have flagged this route and create BriBra 2, which is mostly the same apart but works. I have written a longer review with pictures on the new route.
The pictures below illustrate the problem - the first shows the point where this route left Rooley Avenue. The second path may offer an alternative but I heeded the closure sign rather then get stuck at the far end.

31 Mar 2022A great route - really varied; goes through south bradford, the lovely village of wyke, cuts across countryside and then into Brighouse.
One of the stiles in the countryside was a bit unsturdy and the path beside the river gets very muddy in winter, but all in all, a wonderful slow way!.
