06 Mar 2022I agree with the earlier reviewers. Between Kilburn and Finchley Road it's fine, but Hendon Way was dreadful. Brekil 2 is a much nicer alternative.

23 Jan 2022The other reviewer is spot on with this route. When I walked it from Brent Cross on a Sunday morning, Hendon Way was thankfully a bit quiet, but it’s still a big, loud, and nasty road to walk along. The second half through West Hampstead, in contrast, is extremely pleasant and lovely urban adventuring.

04 Nov 2021I walked from Kilburn to Brent Cross.
The first 3km is through well-to-do suburbia with pleasant roads and highstreets with a variety of shops and galleries. Leafy streets and small distracting parks to rest. Lots of interest.
But the second half. The A41 to Brent Cross. A relentless unpleasant noisy Nagini of a road. A fume filled nasty Nidhogg lying across communities. 3km of road with little to commend it. The alternative is the bus or overlong detours through back roads. Take the bus for the second half.
