11 Aug 2024I’ve walked the first half of this route Braintree to Coggeshall. The level crossing of the dual carriageway A120 is not recommended. At Braintree garden centre the footpath and parallel Long Green road is closed due to a housing development. The route through and around the quarry is quite torturous, not clear or pretty and in some parts very overgrown.

14 Feb 2024Please take care. We've heard the crossing of the A120 is unsafe on this route. Bratip two is being created. Bracog two shows a safe crossing of the A120.
