30 Nov 2021This is basically the same as BlaPou One, but with some essential diversions.
The initial section through Blackpool is not inspiring, although Kingscote Park was okay. This route goes around the north of St Mary’s Catholic Academy on a track, and then there are more residential streets, and then a track alongside a drainage channel and a fenced field of horses. Crossing the fields from here to Poulton is probably very pleasant in the right weather, but in sleet it wasn’t! The footpaths have moved a bit from what is shown on the OS Map, but the Slow Ways route is correct and was fairly obvious on the ground. The housing on the way into Poulton-le-Fylde was very nice and the town itself has lots of facilities. I would say that even in good weather, only about 40% of this route is nice.
