Surveys
We are working to build-up a picture of what routes look like. To do that we are asking volunteers to survey routes so that we can communicate features, obstacles and challenges that may make a route desirable or not.
Slow Ways surveyors are asked to complete some basic online training, but they are not vetted. If you are dependent on the survey information being correct in order to complete a route, we recommend that you think critically about the information provided. You may also wish to wait until more than one survey has been completed.
Help people know more about this route by volunteering to submit a survey.

17 Jul 2023I agree with the previous reviewer about the cars spoiling Winchcombe - there were even noisy roadworks to spoil the atmosphere! Also the eastern section which follows Langley Road was much busier than I expected for a minor road - lots of local traffic (I think there was an obstruction on the main road, so locals who knew the route were taking the diversion, so this problem might not be repeated).

24 Oct 2021Excellent route over Cotswold countryside from Bishop's Cleeve to Wincombe. Round trip about 11 miles or get the bus back! Unmistakable Cotswold scenery (yellow sandstone houses and fuzzy sheep on the hilsside) are just part of the scenes you can expect.
Can't quite give it a full five stars as last couple of miles into Winchcombe is on a road (OK, a country road with grass in the centre!) and Winchcombe itself is scarred by lanes of parked cars (imagine what it would look like car-free--see accompanying pics). Views are spectacular and I met a woman who told me she's been over every peak in the area, and looking down at the valley declared it the best view in Britain!.
