Surveys
We are working to build-up a picture of what routes look like. To do that we are asking volunteers to survey routes so that we can communicate features, obstacles and challenges that may make a route desirable or not.
Slow Ways surveyors are asked to complete some basic online training, but they are not vetted. If you are dependent on the survey information being correct in order to complete a route, we recommend that you think critically about the information provided. You may also wish to wait until more than one survey has been completed.
Help people know more about this route by volunteering to submit a survey.

16 Mar 2022I agree with David that this route is unusable. I walked Birsut 2 and I could see the blockage on Park Lane, caused by HS2 works. I've also had a good look on aerial maps and Google street view at the section requiring you to walk on the railway and the River Rea, and it looks completely unwalkable.

03 Jul 2021Utterly unusable. Park Street is temporarily closed in Digbeth for the building of Curzon Street HS2 Station (this will be for years). More importantly an impossible route is followed all the way from Curzon Street Canal Tunnel to Star City. The walker is supposed to join the railway(!) and then follow the River Rea (there is no walkway!). Please use Birsut 2 which is a usable version of this walk. It will be available soon.
