Surveys
We are working to build-up a picture of what routes look like. To do that we are asking volunteers to survey routes so that we can communicate features, obstacles and challenges that may make a route desirable or not.
Slow Ways surveyors are asked to complete some basic online training, but they are not vetted. If you are dependent on the survey information being correct in order to complete a route, we recommend that you think critically about the information provided. You may also wish to wait until more than one survey has been completed.
Help people know more about this route by volunteering to submit a survey.

25 Jun 2021Route is only possible using the ferry service, so timing is essential (commuter service on morning or evening is more economic). The route in Liverpool makes perfect sense, but the Birkenhead end is untenable due to private pavements for offices and unpaved roads to the tunnel. I'll submit an alternative route.
Any excuse to use the ferry, though!.

30 Apr 2021The problem here is it is not possible to walk through the Mersey tunnel so there is no direct walk across the river here. There are good transport links (bus, train, ferry) from Birkenhead to Liverpool but a walk would be much slower and have to go around the river. Hoping to develop a good route for this to submit!.
