11 Sep 2022This was a rather dull but easy route, all along suburban pavements except for a short footpath cutting through woods, which made the route less accessible due to kissing gates and cycle barriers. Mostly it passed pleasant enough housing, with one terrace just north of Green Lane Station being particularly pleasing. There were quite a few shops on the route too, but a lot of them had metal grills covering them.

11 Sep 2022A direct and safe Slow Way comprising mainly of pavement pounding. Connects well with the train line and with lots of shops en route. If you like neighbourhood churches, this route seems to pass many of them. Unexpected bonus was the view over to Liverpool at one stage of the walk. Very easy to follow.

10 Sep 2022Walked this route from Bebington to Birkenhead. It’s perfectly peasant, safe, direct, navigable, and on pavements. There’s a set of gates or barriers at both ends of the one off road paved footpath near Bebington. Otherwise, it’s a pretty straightforward and easy walk along pavements on mostly quiet residential streets. A good walk, if a bit uninspiring! There are plenty of convenience shops along the way, and you pass several intermediate train stations. There are toilets at the Birkenhead station at least (I just didn’t notice at Bebington but mainly because I wasn’t looking).

22 Jun 2021Unremarkable urban walk, but, given the built-up nature of the area, the best one that links the two areas. Mostly along well-lit, evenly surfaced pavements, with a wooded short footpath section with possible obstacles for wheelchair users, this route is accessible on foot and cycle, and is served by many shops along the way, and two railways stations at either end.
