22 Mar 2026 (edited 05 Apr 2026)I walked this from Swanley to Bexleyheath on a warm spring day. There hadn't been much rain in the past week.
After leaving Swanley, which required some residential streets, the route soon gets through Swanley Park, with fields and woods. Take care with crossing Leydenhatch Lane. On the other side there is a path that cuts through an industrial estate (photo #1). The walk up Stonehill Green looks scary, but there was no traffic (photo #2).
The walk around the golf course is quite nice (photo #3), especially the woods to the north-east (photo #4), with lots of birds. Joydens Wood was the best part, and delightful (photo #5, #6). With some archaeology too!
From Bexley on, the walk is again residential streets (photo #7-#12).
