13 Mar 2022This route is significantly longer than Batmel three, which goes across country, with the resulting stiles, fields, crops, livestock, etc.
This route avoids all that.
The route is wheelchair / pushchair / mobility scooter friendly, as the majority of route is canal towpath, with the remainder being pavement out of Bath, and ditto into Melksham. Mid route is the town of Bradford on Avon with multiple facilities. The route was recorded as 17.34 mi by GPS.
Batmel four supersedes Batmel two which is NOT wheelchair friendly.
