Surveys
We are working to build-up a picture of what routes look like. To do that we are asking volunteers to survey routes so that we can communicate features, obstacles and challenges that may make a route desirable or not.
Slow Ways surveyors are asked to complete some basic online training, but they are not vetted. If you are dependent on the survey information being correct in order to complete a route, we recommend that you think critically about the information provided. You may also wish to wait until more than one survey has been completed.
Help people know more about this route by volunteering to submit a survey.

11 Sep 2024The route is on a country lane that’s tarmac, sometimes there’s low grass patches along the road that you could walk on but mostly had to walk on the road itself which wasn’t ideal with cars coming from both directions. Most cars slowed down however not all did so had to stay vigilant.
Also, after Burnham instead of going round on to Barton Road to go past Wootton and back again, went straight onto Race Lane as it was a shortcut. The route goes along farm land with patches of different produce. Saw a hare and a pheasant on the way.

12 Aug 2024I want to remind you to stay extra cautious when on Burnham road, as the traffic tends to move quite swiftly in that area, and cars may pass by at higher speeds than expected.
Additionally, we decided to take race lane instead of barton road, as we found it to be a more convenient shortcut that also helps us link up with the rest of the route.

12 Aug 2024I would recommend being vigilant on Burnham road as cars can drive past you quite fast.
We substituted barton road for race lane as we felt it was a short cut and connects us to the rest of the route.
