Surveys
We are working to build-up a picture of what routes look like. To do that we are asking volunteers to survey routes so that we can communicate features, obstacles and challenges that may make a route desirable or not.
Slow Ways surveyors are asked to complete some basic online training, but they are not vetted. If you are dependent on the survey information being correct in order to complete a route, we recommend that you think critically about the information provided. You may also wish to wait until more than one survey has been completed.
Help people know more about this route by volunteering to submit a survey.

04 Oct 2022Currently this route is not viable due to footpath closure but there is an acceptable divertion (not marked)
From Leighton there is a lengthy trek through an urban setting until you cross the bridge over the A4146. The section walking parallel with the road may be overgrown in places slowing progress.
From here route is pleasant passing Burcott and Wing to reach Aston Abbots (Note: Pub is closed)
Route now fairly clear but note several fields crossed with cattle in. My experience was quite intimidating with cows following me when walking by myself and very aggressive when crossing with my dog.
Interesting small setion going through tree garden centre but next setion is very faint to reach A418. Exit to road well hidden in hedge.
At Bierton continue on road to pass Indian resturant the take road left and continue to SP48410 21502. After exiting the housing estate walk around the lakes keeping themon your left until you reach the canal bridge.
Route now on towpath and on into Aylesbury to finish.
