Flora
28 Apr 2021There are some nice sections of this route (especially Roos to Rimswell, and also the Fitling to Owstwick road walk is on pleasant and quiet lanes). But there are 3 problems with the route.
1. A kilometre of walking along a very busy and fast road where there isn’t an adequate verge to get out of the way of traffic. This is dangerous.
2. There are 7 narrow wooden footbridges that are in a state of disrepair with rotting floor planks and/or broken side railings.
3. There are 3 large fields which have been ploughed and planted with crops, ignoring the right of way. Depending on the time of year it is difficult to cross these fields, and also it makes navigation more tricky.
The photo shows the route start/end at Withernsea, by the sea.
