08 Jun 2023We did this walk last Saturday and thought it was excellent. From Adel down to Hyde Park we walked in mostly wooded areas. Also walking next to water was very relaxing as well. Even though it's 6 miles it didn't feel like it and has an excellent stopping off point in Meanwood centre for a rest and to refuel. Would definitely recommend this walk if you're looking for a 3 hour city centre walk.

27 Mar 2022Excellent route approaching Leeds from the north.
Starting at Adel it goes through Meanwood and Headingley on the way to central Leeds.
Mix of urban and residential streets, and wooded parkland, this gives a green link most of the way, and the route through the university campus also reduces exposure to traffic.
The only downside is crossing the A6120 ring road, a high speed dual carriageway. The crossing point is very basic.
Some steps and rough paths in the parks and woods.
I really enjoyed this route, it is accurately drawn and I would walk it again.

02 May 2021 (edited 09 Jul 2022)A great way to travel North out of Leeds. Wonderful wooded sections with facilities in the middle section near Meanwood park.
This route is updated to avoid the Dale Way link path blockage in Meanwood Woods.
